Weston Mountain Lodge came into my life in 2004, when I had the opportunity to leave the big city and head for the mountains. I jumped at the chance to live a rural lifestyle and embraced it wholeheartedly. Even as a Whitman College student years before, I had never explored the Blue Mountains despite their proximity to Walla Walla. I was enchanted by the abundant recreational opportunities right out my back door: breathtaking vistas, wildflowers, ponderosa and fir forests and total solitude in the North Fork Umatilla Wilderness.
I began in earnest to entice friends and family to visit this little-known corner of Eastern Oregon and I hosted them in grand style at the Lodge. Hospitality has always been my passion–I adore being a hostess –and I enjoyed regaling them with the special local offerings: undiscovered trail hikes, gourmet wines and artisan food from the region and amazing seasonal produce grown with love in our Valley. I created moments that surprised and delighted my guests.
When I met Kyle, I found my dream co-host! He stepped right into the role of Blue Mountain Ambassador and introduced our guests to a whole new range of experiences from fly fishing and mountain biking to winter recreation like backcountry skiing and snowshoeing.
When we decided to move off the mountain, we knew in our hearts that Weston Mountain Lodge was ready for a new chapter. We would open it to a whole new array of visitors who craved what we knew the Lodge offered: serenity, repose, and relaxation in an inspiring locale where memories are forged, relationships are nurtured and traditions are created.
During our years on the mountain, we’ve personally enjoyed many beautiful occasions with friends and family. From weddings to reunions, women’s weekends, business planning and visioning, artistic pursuits, musical moments, fancy parties, campouts, huge picnics, photo shoots and on and on. We cherish these many special experiences and the magical qualities of this place and we know you will, too.
We’d love to help you bring to life the special moment you’re imagining and we’d be honored to help you create that experience at Weston Mountain Lodge.
